Mystery Box pt 3 Thanks for all the response, now led to think it might
be a primitive radar receiver, although I always thought they would be
larger. The front of the receiver has one coaxial connector that is the
antenna input labeled "antenna unit" a video output that appears like a
old style signal pin microphone connector labeled "antenna unit, one
missing cannon plug labeled "power unit " and the cylinder that contains
the oscillator tuning plate labeled "tune". That has the same spine
connector as an ARC-5, that's where the ARB coffee grinder head was, the
head was calibrated for an ARB and not for this box. Will be connecting
a power supply to it tonight and get an idea where the oscillator
operates and what the IF is. Please understand that I did not have any
idea of this thing having any value, other then the tuning head and only
listed it because of it uniqueness. This item is in no where near mint
condition, has been ham modified by someone drilling a couple holes in
the front and is missing its case. If there is someone who is collecting
or restoring these systems will send it to them for what I have into it
plus shipping, after I am don playing with it.
