Hue that's probably right "as advertised" but in practice 2 mi.s is 
about all

This fm SBD pilot, one ex-Lt Dusty Collins age 81, that wud take his man 
up regularly for ASB 'tune-up.' "His man" wud be heads down behind him & 
a friendly ship visual wud turn up.  2 miles b4 ASB'd have it.

Considered a daytime flop, handy in dark/fog @ best.
