Somebody really should assemble a working ASB. Usual suspects, step forward.
About 2 decades back i had enuff to do this, but lacked the courage. I still have
1 unmodified receiver, but this one is not new in the box.
I understand the big collector of German gear in Nederlands, Arthur Bauer, has a 
working German aircraft radar, but running into a dummyload antenna, of course,
instead of open air. Now components for that are Rare. Years back, i had the main
RT unit, with absolutely as absolutely can be, no prayer of ever finding anything
else. It had some nicely shaped real uncommon tubes. Apparently something had
gone wrong with the main pulse generator, so the unit was pulled, then someone
filched it instead of it being ground up with the plane, etc. I swapped it away and
did get amazing swap leverage with it.
