Which for the rest,  is the BC-222 and BC-322, the "first
walkie talkie". I received a highly interesting email reply on other
accessories for the set,  but i'm only going to quote this  one 
paragraph on the appropriateness of the red/white headphone
cushions. This is as i seem to recall it also, in the old Radio News
and other such magazine photos.

"I'm sure the foam ear cushions you described are
absolutely correct for this radio. Though the
grey/black types are functionally interchangeable, I
think they were later issue, and all illustrations
I've seen of pre-war sets had the contrasting colors
on the pads, obviously the red and cream types. "

Now, how's that for timely information?
