[Milsurplus] Oddball question

The Air Force did the same thing with enlisted AF219xxxxx and I thing there was another for reserve and ANG that added a suffix like FA or FR.  Of course that all changed
when it went SSAN as the serial number.  By the way the AF219 indicated ANG in the old First Air Force Area out of Mitchell Field.
