Let me address #7, as it is obviously a good example of hyperbole. Radio
system out of the 1950s? Well, I've got all the service parts anyone
would need to keep tube type Progress Line and T41GGV vintage radios
working into the 22nd century. I bought all the excess spares of various
State radio systems back when they were cleaning out their warehouses.
But, you really think they have those radios? Not a chance. Since they
aren't the latest bells and whistles Dick Tracy models, they holler about
spare parts, and hide behind obfuscation about 1950s radios, hoping no
one will call them on that. I learned two-way in the 1950s,and haven't
forgotten anything. Bring 'em on! Gimme make and model numbers.
Besides, all the spare parts they need show up at every major ham
swapfest in the country. But, that isn't in the bureaucrats' domain, and
especially, they don't get any kickbacks. And, I have volunteered to fix
equipment for various government agencies for free, no strings attached,
and have yet to be taken seriously. So let them eat cake. Just another
good example of government fraud, waste and abuse.
