Thoughts on R-100:

1. isn't the schematic pasted inside the set - or is that just my imagination
about seeing that.

2. RC coupling between 1st and 2nd IFs - whoa! That is cheapo, altho i 
confess i have seen that elsewhere, altho  i cannot name the radio right now.

3. If approx. 40k were built in Europe from "Spring '45 on", and WW2 ended 
shortly after "Spring '45", it sounds like maybe large numbers were produced
just for the Europe occupation forces??
