My preference is for -C and previous models. No LF band, which band is useless to
me, and so slightly better bandspread and somewhat better dial markings. 
Outside of those models, i tend to like the older ones with the more conventional 
format crystal filter transformer. I guess my thinking is, it's a little more obvious how
it works, and also, if you want to, you can change the off/on knob to an off/on/phasing
without major destructive work.
