Jack, i work in an industry that used a lot of those plugs, and altho i've looked
i have never seen the exact tool. I would like to find one also! I know what you
mean about them disappearing. Unscrew one and let it drop on a piece of paper
under your work. Then accidently you brush against the edge of the paper and
the screw rolls off on some journey to oblivion. It doesn't even make a sound as
it bounces, so you don't have a clue. The way i deal with this is to have on hand
some less desirable plug configurations to sacrifice for spare screws. But- i never
have seen that the exact tool is necessary. A small standard screwdriver extracts
them, and inserting them you cannot use much torque anyway, else they strip or
break.
BTW, one of my co-workers calls screwdrivers "plus" and "minus" drivers. As in,
"Hand me an adult plus-driver, would you?". Meaning, hand me a large Phillips
driver.
