Hey Mike et al
} I was so happy to hear of a fellow who was paying this
} sort of attention to the proper radio gear for his restoration. So many of
} these WWII aircraft folks don't care a bit about the electronics.
I gave the CAF Carrolton, GA chapter an ASB radar display for their
neat SBD. They ooohed, ahhh'd - then repainted/re-stencilled the unit.
Next they bungeed her under the gunner's dash per Stan Collins USN
Capt., ret. AND they built 2 under-wing 500mc yagi-lookers per the
Douglas 1943 "erection manual.*"
Ran to one exhibit with it & removed display "because it takes too much
room." (they sell the seat to 'contributors.')
The yagis remain tho. And, better, so does the sound of the R1820.
Marty who rented the WE remote BC eqpt. to "Stroke of Genius." 1928
mic, 1935 4-channel mixer. Authentic I ask you?
*wonder how many spam trappers will intercept this
