Hi

At least anecdotal evidence suggests that most of the documentary 
producers would welcome the input. The problem comes when you get to 
the "how to contact" part of the question.

The other problem you will run into is the "got to shoot the scene this 
afternoon" mentality that is pretty common these days. They are lucky 
if the paint is dry on the set when they start shooting. Rounding up 
accurate gear in a hurry can be a pain ....
