When i was out in hawaii back about 8 years ago i went up the airfield
way up on the north end of Oahu. variety of old stuff setting there
including the pontoon upwards assembly from a JRF. ALso an F-101, some
engines they had pulled out of the surf and other collectables in the
workshop. They also had some stuff from a aircraft that had crashed
into the hillside way up in the mountains back then. Guess it was fun
getting stuff out of there cause of all the ammo still in the plane and
laying around. State said make sure everything is as it were when you
leave, meaning the grounds of course. Don't remember what type plane it
was now. Interesting place. Oh yes, it was Bellingham airfield. Right
on the shore.
