Today I stopped by the scrap yard, and brought home 2 of the following
LIGHT, TAXI, Aircraft.. Grimes P/N 50-0179-3 component of 50-0184-7 with
a reference to General Dynamics spec # 16ve3450013

Grimes website didn't say anything useful, Goggle when I used the GD spec
number , came back with a govt, request for bid, for about 50 pieces of
these..
My question is ?? operating voltage.. I powered it up and it gets bright
as hell at what looks like 10-12 volts, but I find that difficult to believe
[ voltage ] General Dynamics making any aircraft operating system of 12
volts.. The filament on this thing looks like # 16 wire twisted, actually it
is a Halogen lamp, I just don't want to burn up the lamp.. anyone know
anything about this unit.. thanx mac/mc
