There was a version of those jeeps that were configured
at Tachikawa AFB in 1952 or thereabouts.  They pulled
a small trailer with something like a PE-75 in it.  The
radio equipment ran on DC.  The rectifiers were in the
trailer.  The requirement was for a jeep-mounted facility
that could operate from a fixed base for a time.  We did
a lot of ad hoc in those days because that's all we had.
I've seen CF-1 and CF-2 carrier bays in jeeps and weapons
carriers.  TRC-1 was the radio.
