Hmmm...   Sure you don't mean the BC-684?   The BC-683 was the receiver that 
went with the SCR-608/628 system used by the artillery guys back in the 40s 
and used no crystals.   The tankers used the SCR-508/528 which covered a lower 
frequency range, 20.0 to 27.9 vs. 27.0 to 38.9 MHz for the 608/628.   Got a 
bunch of rocks and will check for channel 333.   Curious why you want this 
frequency, though.   Channels 291 through 296 would put you on the top end of 10M.
