[Milsurplus] German EP2a DF Radio

I have a 1941 (I think) German EP2a direction finder up for grabs. It was
on Fbay for for a bit, until they kicked it off.

Here is an old German radio - an EP2a. This is an MF and low HF Direction 
Finder set, used by the German Army to home in on interesting radio 
signals. Sort of a "rainbow radio", each of the five bands is a different 
color on the dial. The radio tunes 70 thru 3650 KHz (imagine using this 
on the 160 meter amateur radio ham band! You might also be able to just 
get a little of 80 meters.).

The top has a removeable oval shaped panel for the antenna (not 
included). The connections look nice, as can be seen. On the sides of the 
radio are two other hatches for power and possibly headphones. One hatch 
has a small adaptor with two banana plugs - it comes out quite easily.

The serial is 240083-41 - perhaps a 1941 build. Note the Wehrmacht 
inspection stamp just below the plate, in red ink.

All of the tubes are there, but one (an RES094) has a loose cap. The 
tubes are a mix of RES094 and RES084. From what I can see of the innards, 
things look good.

Externally, expect to see some wear. There is some paint peeling on the
bottom and sides, but the top and front really aren't too bad. There is
little actual corrosion on this set - the metal appears to be
aluminum or zinc plated steel, so rust is minimized. 

I did a superficial cleaning of this radio for auction, but you will 
probably want to do more. One of the knobs is a little stiff - you may 
need to work on that a little.

Obviously untested, and as-is. Reasonable reserve, very much less than 
the Buy-it-Now price.

Anyway, I am taking offers for this thing. If you are overseas and want 
this, it will probably have to ship Fedex International - I don't have 
the time to set up a complicated shipment.
