Hi:
I recently wanted to let a GPS receiver average for 24 hours. The
internal batteries would last that long so I used one of my 257477BA
battery adapter with a Cigarette Lighter socket soldered onto it. This
got me thinking that the 10 "D" cells provide a nominal "12 Volts" and
so now am offering some new options for this series of adapters.
The new 257477BA-PP has an Anderson Power Products "Power Pole"
connector pair under the existing socket bracket. It works just like
the stock 257477BA but can also be used out of a radio to power anything
equipped with the standard ARES Power Pole connector arrangement.
In addition I'm offering short cable with a pair of Power Pole
connectors on one end and a Cigarette Lighter socket on the other end
(model PPCL).
Also offering a short cable with a PRC-25 battery plug on one end and a
Power Pole connector on the other (model 25PP). This could be plugged
intoone of my battery adapters or an actual battery like a BA-5598,
BA-4386, etc. to power "12 Volt" equipment with a Power Pole
connector. It also could be used to charge a battery or adapter that
was rechargeable. By adding the above PPCL cable you can power
Cigarette Lighter equipment form an adapter or actual battery.
If you don't know about Power Poles, see:
http://www.pacificsites.com/~brooke/PowerPole.shtml - both Power Pole
info and "12 Volt" info
http://www.emaares.com/ppole.htm - shows the standard configuration and
has part numbers
All this new stuff is in stock.
