Ray, you are way too stingy with the points in rating the
frequency coverage. TWO hambands? What more could
you want from an ex-mil set? Any hamband coverage is a
9 to 10, in my book. Lower ratings are for a range, for 
example, like 3800 - 5800, with partial coverage.

I think it would be extremely interesting to compare the
A510 (for example) HF coverage in thick jungle or tea
plantation type range, versus some FM set such as the
BC-1000.

I also wonder what the Chinese designers of the Type
63 mobile manpack radio (about BC-1000 size ) were 
thinking when they made the coverage 1500 - 6000 kc.
1500 ???
