Ed,

That's interesting info!  I assumed that the coax mod was
always a ham's mod.  I have a pristine TCS-12 that has
neatly installed SO-239 connectors which I've always
been sorry about.  But, I'm still assuming the mod on that
set was most likely done by a ham.
