The thread on radium & TBY made me think also of the 
TBX, which has a nice "buzz" too. Another swell point,
is the thumbwheels have radium markers. This is for
the later TBX's, the ones with the 1-volt tubes and 
2E22 final. The 837 transmitter ones don't, but have only
manual t/r switching, not so handy.
There was apparently one exception, the TBX-6 made for
the  USCG: apparently Sam never foresaw the USCG using
the TBX in combat conditions, so the USCG's TBX, altho
a "late" model, with 2E22, has white face meters and no
radium on the panel.
I regret not buying that one now; it unfortunately went
to the Land of the Rising Sun, from whence no historical
treasure ever returns.
