Hi,
I like to copy code on an old mill and have a bunch of dried up ribbons. =
I
realized that the dye did not go away, only the vehicle for it so I did
some experimenting. First I applied some WD-40 to a ribbon, which typed
great until it quickly dissipated. Next I tried gun oil, and it worked
great. What I did was drip oil around the outer perimeter of the ribbon =
on
the spool, maybe about 10 drops total. After 24 hours it typed well
without bleeding. =
73 and have fun,
