[Milsurplus] GRR-18's

  Have come across an interesting item that I purchased on Ebay, two Collins
amplifier-converter CV-2651/GRR-18(V)1, PN 787-6595-001, one has serial no.
A 12, the other A 51 
   They are labelled 'Receive Only' on the front panel. Looks like they were
in service until 10 Jan 78. From what I can gather, they appear to be a HF
receiver. Is there any info available on these?

 (P.S. I wonder what happened to that GRR-17 that was on Ebay around six
