Hue & Group,

Two other examples of self-propagating errors - I forget which set was being
discussed but in the first of the three Green Books, the authors mention an
error in the USAAF history of operations in the PI that was never corrected. I
have a dim recollection that it may have involved the SCR-197 (sort of a
predecessor to the SCR-299), not any of the type sets that this thread has been
about.

And of course errors in Chesson's (and my) early list have spread around.
Example is BC-324 listed as 12 volt BC-348 (the correct set is of course
BC-224). Again, nothing directly to do with pack/portable sets but just an example
of error proliferation. This particular one is (or was) in the lists on a
semi-official Signal Corps history site, which gives it the aura of being
"official".
