[Milsurplus] SS Power Supply for WS 58

Hi Marty,

The 58 set (NOT a 53 set) uses voltages as follows:

Rx:  A=1.5V @ 250 ma;  B1=90V @ 6 ma; B2=180V @ 0 ma; C=-21V @ ? ma

Tx:  A=1.5V @ 490 ma;  B1=90V @ 1.8 ma; B2=180V @ 20 ma; C=-21V @ ? ma

These numbers are from Wireless for the Warrior, Vol. 1

My estimate is that 8 'D' batteries should last > 50 hours. My rough design uses
2 cells for the A battery & 6 for the B battery through an inverter. The
inverter uses 2 standard 12.6V CT, 300 ma Radio Shack transformers and two
MOSFET Power Transistors in a push-pull switcher operating at roughly 100 Hz,
driven from a 555 IC, 7474 FF to square the waveform up and ensure an exactly
50% duty cycle, and dual peripheral driver to shift levels.. The -21 is from a
Cockroft-Walton multiplier. There is a rewound reed relay to turn the inverter
on and off.
