It makes it a lot of fun when you are trying to install alike radios, equ=
ipment or
lightbars in dissimilar govt, mil or public safety vehicles.  No standard=
ization...

Just a little comment on the ACC mode in automobiles, it is
interesting to note how the different manufacturers model
their ACC circuits in today's
vehicles.

Some vehicles switch the cigarette lighter outlet(s) with
the ACC/Run mode, some do not, the outlet is always hot.

Some vehicles will run the fan in the ACC mode, some do
not.

Some vehicles have the radio tied into the ACC bus, with
an extra mode that keeps the radio on, after the ignition
is switched off, the radio operates until either
the doors are opened (or shut after exiting - I can't
remember exactly the sequence).
