[Milsurplus] ID on British WW jammer

Years ago (1950s) I had and took apart a British airborne chassis, which I have
recently come to believe was a jammer. I'm wondering if anyone can ID it from
the description below.

It was a rectangular box roughly a foot in each dimension, with a slot, perhaps
1" x 6" x 8" in the middle of one side for a destruct device. (When I got it,
there was a destruct device in it. My late dad gave it to the cops... :=((( )
It had a dynamotor, which I still have, about 3" to 4" in diameter and 6" long.
I can post or email a pic in a few days if anyone wants one. The thing that
caught my interest is a gear box on the dyno shaft which was used to drive a
split stator (I think) butterfly capacitor at a few RPS. I suspect it ran
somewhere between 50 and 500 MHz.

Originally, I was told that it was an IFF unit, but now think it was a jammer.
Does anyone know anything more about this odd puppy?

TIA,
-John
