GFE still stands for Government Furnished Equipment. A lot of times when a
contractor is developing a new piece of hardware for the government it need
to interface with other, already inventoried items. The government then
loans these equipments to the contractor for testing purposes and it is
known as GFE for inventory types. 73 - Mike
