[Milsurplus] DF and AE

Welcome to the Amelia hunt.

The potential problems AE and FN had with DF'ing the signal are so many that we
will never get to the bottom of it.

The onboard unit was probably a prototype of the Bendix DU-1, not an  SCR-504
(which was approx 1943 vintage). It may have looked something like the unit
shown at
