We had one TBA on each of the IOWA class battleships during the Korean War.
I was in Iowa, Missouri & New Jersey as a radioman and seem to remember we
never tuned them above about 12 MHz. In fact, the TBA's in all cases I remember
were used for radioteletype and suppose they were sending mostly to NPN in
Guam. The 833 finals took on a dull red glow and the TBA was on continuously.
