I do not think it is an attachment... it has a rubber eye cup you look
though,  the case has instructions for  'charging' the unit  there is a 2
prong connector on the back of it with a cover plug in top cover it when it
is not  'charging' I imagine.

when you look through it you can see an image but it is red...   the inside
of the case also warns you about exposing it  to sunlight.

 I hit googole really hard today trying to find something on it, but alas
came up blank.



on the earthphone it would be interesting to read that account! please let
us know what  book it was from!
