One correction, and one addition.  I mistyped when I said synchronous
detector, when I meant product detector.

The receiver you really need is the DF mod version, which IIRC is the
R-725.  I know someone will correct that if it is incorrect.  That is the
390-A with the retrofit LC IF strip for controlled phase across the
passband.
