Hi All,
I have a rather basic question regarding these great radios. Many years =
ago (when I was younger & less wise) I sold a pristine 100% Collins =
built R-390A, I have gotten older ( and hopefully wiser) and once again =
would like to get one of these radios in my rack. I have had several =
folks tell me one thing or the other about the benefits of one model =
over the other. From what I can tell, the R-390 is said to have more =
pleasing audio and is a more complicated unit compared to the "A' model. =
My ususal listening is to Mil traffic and the overseas airways traffic =
control, but I do like to listen to the BBC and such, sooooo which model =
would be best for that type of reception?? I know there are some =
incredibly knowledgeable folks on this list that could help me in the =
choice. Just as a note, unless I am fortunate enough to get a recently =
overhauled unit, whichever one is gotten, will be totally gone through - =
if that makes a difference in choice.
Thanks as always
Bruce
