Hola, Miguel!
I have two R-1051 (-B and -F), one R-390, and three R-390A.
The major difference between the R-1051 receivers and the R-390*
receivers is, of course, that the R-390* have continuously-variable
tuning over an entire MHz. of bandwidth, while the R-1051* is
restricted to one-KHz. steps, with continuous tuning only within
that KHz. The R-1051* is almost all solid-state, with only two
tubes, and those both in the front end, while the R-390* are all-
tube.
As to sensitivity, I think that the R-1051 is not as good as either
the R-390 or the R-390A, but neither of R-1051* is anywhere near
deaf.
Parts can be difficult to find, but I remember finding a repair shop
that does R-1051 repairs, and there is a mailing list for R-1051
owners and users; to sign up, visit this URL:

and fill in the blanks.
Buena suerte!
