Ben,
I ship world wide but I am in the packing, crating and shipping business.
The main problem is weight restrictions in the postal service and all of 
the hassle involved. Heavier items require freight forwarders and export 
documentation. Some of the newer electronics still require CONCOM 
clearance from the State Dept. which is a true PITA.
In fact I have 3 crates going by air to London on Monday.
UPS/FEDEX/AIRBORNE?DHL all do it but the prices are out of sight.
