Those hand held walkie-talkies, when I first got into the Army
Air Corps our shop had the test equipment to align those things.
A case with some holes in it was used to facilitate adjustment,
and the regular case was put on when the job was finished.  Also,
the xtal controled signal generator had a metal case, and a small
slot with a sliding cover to adjust the level of the radiated
