Jack & Meir,

Jack may mean the BC-611. For some reason, I think during the CB craze of
the 60's, what we hams and/or mil radio collectors know as handie talkies
began to be called walkie talkies. BC-611's show up on eBay more frequently
than BC-1000's. Selling price has run anywhere from $50 to $300 but I'd say
the average is about $150. They are of course usually sold by people who
have no idea whether they are complete or whether the various components are
consistent with the model letter on the dataplate. Usually, they aren't.
:-)

I have a lot of BC-611 parts that I sell and also work on the radios
sometimes for other people. I could probably assemble a couple of display
units as well. For the BC-1000, on the other hand, I only have some misc
bits and pieces.
