Jim and the group,
I found the telegraph key site because I was looking for information about
Ted McElroy and his business during WW II. I googled McElroy Electronics,
and lo and behold, up popped that key site. Many SCR, BC, PRC and other ID
numbers will turn up articles and websites, for instance, BC-375-E will get
you 11 hits. If you are researching a particular radio set, start with
Google, and try a variety of entries, with and without terms such as radio,
radio set, transmitter, etc. Some IDs alone will get you hundreds of hits,
most of which have nothing to with radios, e.g., PRC-2000 produces 681! Try
anything that comes to mind.
I know that many of you are familiar with this approach, but some may not
be. Useful information is always worth repeating.
Thanks for your time,
