Looked up the photos of the radio operator's postion 
in the PB4Y Privateer.  I've posted that photo on 
the alt.binaries.pictures.radio usenet board.

Your aircraft is not a Privateer.  However, here's 
another clue:  The gadget you see behind the key is the 
back side of a radio compass direction indicator.
I'm sure most of you have seen these; it's the bigger one
with the large dial marked in degrees.  

What ever aircraft this was, it had the radio operator and
the navigator sitting on opposing sides of the same table.

It shows the side of the radio position with the table.
The other side mounted an ATB, an ARB, and a R-26 / R-23
AN/ARC-5 pair of receivers.
