The TRC-77 Maintenance manual is a contractor's preliminary manual and only 
covers the base model, not the A.  However, the person whose request caused me 
to scan it checked around and reported back that most of the differences are 
actually covered by the -12.  It gives the differences between models as a 
change in the power connectors on the radio, battery and both chargers from 7-pin 
to 2-pin and a change of headset from NT-49507B (with standard 1/4" phone 
plug) to H-140A/GR (with U-229/U).  And the A is lighter.  Whether there are other 
internal differences of any consequence I don't know.  LOGSA doesn't even 
list AN/TRC-77(*).
