As I said, you must rinse the stuff off well. Cool-Amp can be faked. It's a
simple electroless silver plating powder, made of:

Silver Nitrate             1 part
Salt (non-iodized)      1 part
Cream of Tartar        14 parts

The mixture is applied with a damp cloth and rubbed.  This is from a 1932
handymn's book. The formula for Cool-Amp may not be identical.
