[Milsurplus] Small Speaker

Picked up a speaker at the Wheaton, IL hamfest yesterday.
It looks like it could be military, but it has no markings
and the seller didn't know anything about it.  The paint 
is somewhat olive drab but with a grey cast.  Impedance is
8 ohms.  Cord with PL-55 seems original from the way it's
connected internally.  No manufacturer on the speaker frame,
just numeric part numbers.  Four holes on the top also appear
original, perhaps to attach it to a bracket?

Anyone have an idea who made it or what radio it was used
with?
