Group,

My last posting seems to have caused more post than the original postings I
was warning some of you about. I did not expect any further discussion after
my first request.

For those of you who are new here, and a reminder for those that have been
along for the ride over the years:

The owner of this server which Milsurplus list (and hundreds of other qth.net
list) use is Al Waller. He is the one that request we abide by his wishes
pertaining to ebay. As someone mentioned, to support guys wanting to discuss
ebay he setup a specific list a year or so back to accomodate ebay users.

The rules haven't changed over the years for Milsurplus use and the ebay rule
remains in place. I've posted this request many times in the past.

I agree that many treasures in our hobby have been saved when someone finds a
relatives treasure in a closet and list it on the internet for us to find.
I've taken advantage of this myself many times, so I understand what some of
you are concerned about. As I mentioned, I have over-looked a few post in the
past, but when it gets out of hand I have to do something to maintain the
peace.

There are hundreds of subscribers to this list. What you dont see that I can
are the repercusions of your postings that dont stick to the list topics.
We've already had a large number of guys leave/unsubscribe in the last few
days. This is due to not sticking to the topics they subscribed to read about.
I can't blame them. When you talk about a volatile off-topic, which someone
appropriately mentioned ebay can become, then it can lead to trouble.

Please follow the rules. I request that if you want to discuss this further
please send me an email directly. DO NOT post any further comments on this
topic to the list. I don't want this to become a moderated list.

Thank you for your support in this matter.
