OK- Going off-track discussing the merits of Ebay *itself*
is probably best skipped,
but attempting to forbid discussions of items *on* Ebay is pointless.
You might as well tell us not to discuss what's new for sale
at Fair Radio; there's no difference.
Some people have simply reacted emotionally
to their personal pique at auction sales,
throwing the obvious logic of the situation out the window
in exchange for thinly disguised envy.
If an unusual or interesting piece shows up there,
I'm probably going to discuss it with my friends here.
Not doing so would be absurd, even counter to what
we're *supposed" to be doing: sharing information and learning.
There's no reason to post to some left-field, outhouse "Ebay group"
someone cobbled up just because he doesn't like Ebay posts;
no one is going to read it there, so why would I write it there?
I don't want to sound harsh, guys, or start a fight.
I'm here to share what I know, and to learn from you.
But to insist that we simply *ignore* the greatest source
of interesting and rare equipment since Radio Row
is just plain silly, and selfish, too.
If you feel you have to boot me off for writing about something
on the Bay, information so obviously beneficial to the group,
interesting and common-sense, that's your right.
But it sure seems like a waste.
