[Milsurplus] TCS remote, field phone

Hamfest find.  Says CACS-233398, REMOTE CONTROL UNIT.

Has usual TCS phone & Mic weatherproof jacks plus tie-on for field
phone wire-pair.  Has cavity for several D-cells.

Painted OD so looks like Marines.  SN 2795 so it's not like the
one of a tiny batch.

But not in usual Collins TCS 'system' manual.

Back to D-cells.  My bet is they ran a relay with holding
contacts that cycled  if you momentarily shorted field-phone wires.  
This allowed remote T-R switching and audio and mic. with yust 2 wires.

Any others now own or have seen one?  It's TCS guess confirmation time
