Hi All,=20

After the 2nd charge cycle, and an 8 hr rest period, one battery had =
12.75 V on one cell, and 12.84 V on the other. The 2nd battery had =
almost the same voltages. Hit them with the 50 ohm resistors and got 16 =
hrs for Battery 1 with a final voltage of 12.2 V for both cells. Looks =
like battery 1 is OK. Battery 2 had 8.4 V for one cell, and 12.1 volts =
for the other. Looks like I will open that one and see what I can see. =
As a side note, the wallwart power supply that came with the unit went =
feet up. It looked as if the primary opened. I of course dissected the =
critter and found an unmarked small black plastic object soldered in =
series with the primary. It looks as if it is at the midpoint of the =
windings. Looks just like an unmarked .1 UF 50V PC board capacitor. =
One of the square little black ones. Anyone else see one of these? I =
can't believe that they would capacitivly couple at 50 or 60 HZ in a =
transformer primary. Anyway, I finished charging with a spare 14V power =
supply. Now to work on that Transformer and open up the battery pack.

Cheers,

John WD5ENU/A45XV
