I found a 2nd FRL TS25 yesterday. A TS25-3 that has 4 xtal channels ane
a 5th MOPA. Tube line-up is 6V6 & 807 RF & pr 6L6s directly driven by
carbon-mic xfrmr. Sig. Corps triangle-in-square stamps, pre-war dogbone
resistors, etc. 807 is white ceramic based Wl807/VT100.

FRL mentioned in

   http://www.portorfordlifeboatstation.org/newitems.html

which led to

   http://www.fisherlab.com/fisherbeta/Operation_Man/Opman.asp

They'r still in business making metal detectors.

Tho FT171-base xtals long-gone, front panel has last service freq.s and
one is

           ---4495----

I've read the tower-to-ground/interplane late 30s freq.s were 3105 & 6210 for
civilians & 4495 for commercial.**

D'yas think these Fishers were installed @ left-coast airports in late 30s
& sig-corps lads went around, tested same, then stamped 'em??

I posted an inquiry on the TS25 last Feb on boatanchors & nada.

Lessee what we turn up here

Found a TS-25 & a RS-25 RX/TX pair near Noble, GA today. These seem to
be a xtal-controlled ship-shore pair made ~1940. All capacitorw were
Oakland, CA Girrard-Hopkins which were in 1st HP 200s.

  TX uses 807 & 2 6L6 mod.s. TX & RX xtal controlled w. on 4 chan.s w. great
  big FT171 xtal,s

Tho look to be pre-WW2, each has MFP '51 stamp.

  Go figure.

  C'mon left coasters
