That freq range is not USFS, however. So, if it was 
USFS, it has to be a modification. However, wasn't
the UF-1 a 5 meter ham rig?
BTW, there is a book used by the German security
force, book titled (translated) "Direction Finding on
Shortwaves", which shows a Lafayette (USA maker)
simple 5-meter rig as used by "British agents in Norway".
