I have a modified BC-696 transmitter for sale.
Most modified command set transmitters I see are pretty sloppily done, and
I pick them up with an eye toward possible restoration, parts recovery to restore
another unit, or reclaim the good homebrewer parts that they usually contain.
But this one is an exception. It is a converted BC-696. Typical mod, eyetube
and crystal removed, roller coil and relays removed, octal socket and external
power supply BUT, the mods were well done, wiring is laced, empty tube socket
holes replace with metal plate, painted front panel with dry transfer letters, neatly
done and compact power supply. The original selector relay was relocated and used
as a TR relay, and two BNC jacks mounted on the rear panel.
The cover it came with was in really good shape, and I used it to replace a dented
cover on one of my keeper sets. So it comes with a dented cover. It does come with
the power supply and interconnect cable.
I have not powered it up, so operation is unknown.
Anyone want it for 20 bucks plus shipping? I figure shipping will run about 20 bucks
to US.
