In digging for stuff for Saturday's swap, I turned up two items which may
be of interest to someone in this group.
First is: CA-218C Magnavox 705520-804. Some kind of vehicular adapter
for a radio. Radio slot is empty. Has a connector "for antenna
AT-256A/ARC" inside a plate on the top. I think this tag was on it with
FSN 5820-01-085-5392 or 3. Tag is weathered and almost unreadable.
Units themselves have been in plastic bags and are in good to excellent
condition. Inside is one of those new style (expensive) circular
connectors. I have 2 of these which need a new home.
Second, a AN/ARM-48A test set. Front panel switch selects either ARC-33
or ARC-34. Now you know as much as I do. Appears to have Nixie
readouts. Unit is intact, but for some reason, the plastic on one of the
cable adapters inside is dukeing it out with the paint and metal on the
inside of the lid. Produced lots of aluminum oxide (?) dust. I
haven't looked inside the unit itself, but will if it is of any value to
anyone.
Let me know before Friday night.
73,
George
