I think you mean the 1LA6 -- the loktal equivalent of the 1L6.  I haven't
tried it, but they say it's the same electronically.  You need a loktal
socket and a 7-pin plug.  As I recall, the wiring is one-to-one except maybe
one pin.  The only caveat was a small one -- possible need to touch up the
alignment due to the longer overall lead length.

The 1R5 works as a sub in the TO's, but not too well -- sacrifices most of
the range above 5 or 10 MHz.

I don't know if it's the same website, but someone came up with a solid
state plugin, if you're amenable to that sort of thing.

Nope, they don't make 1L6's like they used to. Time to call the Chinese tube
factory ;-)
